A Case of Primary EAC Cholesteatoma Extending into Antrum with Normal Middle Ear

Abstract Introduction A cholesteatoma is a three-dimensional sac lined by keratinized squamous epithelium containing desquamated epithelial cell which secretes enzymes that have the tendency to expand and erode bony structure underlying it cause intracranial extracranial complications. This cystic mass in an abnormal location such as middle ear, petrous apex, or external auditory canal (EAC). It mostly found ear rarely EAC. Here we reported rare case of unilateral primary EAC with mild hearing loss middle-aged male. Case Report We 34-year-old male complaints right-sided discharge decreased for last 5 6 years. On examination, right was be dry, observed posterior wall extending mastoid present clear attic, intact retracted tympanic membrane then followed radiological evaluation establish diagnosis cholesteatoma. surgically treated cleared all disease. Patient's symptoms improved postoperatively. Conclusion Primary disease-free finding there very less definitive literature available on pathogenesis same.
